Because small animals necessarily have higher surface to volume ratios than larger species of similar form, aerodynamic forces have a greater effect on them, resulting in much lower in free fall and amplifying the effects of even small alterations to body surface area. These small changes provide incremental benefits towards further development of gliding.

Methods of euthanizing laboratory animals are chosen to induce rapid unconsciousness and death without pain or distress. The methods that are preferred are those published by councils of veterinarians. The animal can be made to inhale a gas, such as and , by being placed in a chamber, or by use of a face mask, with or without prior sedation or anesthesia. or such as can be given , or inhalant anesthetics may be used. Amphibians and fish may be immersed in water containing an anesthetic such as . Physical methods are also used, with or without sedation or anesthesia depending on the method. Recommended methods include (beheading) for small rodents or rabbits. (breaking the neck or spine) may be used for birds, mice, and immature rats and rabbits. (grinding into small pieces) is used on 1 day old chicks. High-intensity microwave of the brain can preserve brain tissue and induce death in less than 1 second, but this is currently only used on rodents. may be used, typically on dogs, ruminants, horses, pigs and rabbits. It causes death by a concussion to the brain. Gunshot may be used, but only in cases where a penetrating captive bolt may not be used. Some physical methods are only acceptable after the animal is unconscious. may be used for cattle, sheep, swine, foxes, and mink after the animals are unconscious, often by a prior electrical stun. (inserting a tool into the base of the brain) is usable on animals already unconscious. Slow or rapid freezing, or inducing are acceptable only with prior anesthesia to induce unconsciousness. Sadly, ‘free to good home’ kittens, cats, rabbits, puppies, small dogs and other animals are often sought out by sick people wishing to set their dogs on them. These people find it entertaining and amusing to watch a smaller animal being ripped apart by their dogs, who they have trained to do this. It is often done by people who take their dogs – often Lurchers – hunting for small animals. They take their dogs rabbiting and badger baiting and use these ‘free to good home’ pets as practice and training for their dogs. We are unable to find iTunes on your computer. Rodents advertised as free to good home, such as mice, hamsters, gerbils, rats, and other small animals commonly fall in to the hands of people who give them alive to their pet snakes to eat, or other pets that eat live food, as they get sick enjoyment out of watching it happen. The promotion on the Mount Waverly Pizza Hut store was: “Buy 10 Large Pizzas Get Free Small Animal From Pets Story.” Pets Story is a local pet shop, conditions would apply and the promotion was set to run from September 1, 2014 to December 2014.Animals advertised free to good home or for a low cost can fall in to the hands of people who produce . These videos generally feature, but do not limit themselves to, small live animals, such as kittens, puppies, mice and rabbits being slowly tortured in the most horrific and painful ways imaginable.
They are burned alive, cut with pruning sheers, nailed to the floor, skinned alive, beaten, stabbed and most often, they have their limbs crushed and broken – whatever will cause them to scream with agony the most for the longest time. The author adds a dash of some rather illogical meanderings: "Or how can you be sure that the cook will never handle the hamster and then handle your food? You can’t."

Since no restaurant was involved in keeping small animals in their kitchens or any other part of the building, why is this even relevant? It would not even be legal in the first place. As for some animal hair, etc., being in food, one can find insect and other items even in a box of crackers, so that is nothing new, but the cook handling hamsters, that is a reach.
There is even a bit of vegan proselytizing peppered in with the author saying: "pizza’s good enough on its own and can be guilt-free with vegan cheese and loaded with veggies." Since only three percent of the world is vegan, people will not be turning to vegan cheeses in droves. A lot of vegetarians and omnivores eat cheese and don't find it a cause for 'guilt.' One can easily obtain cheese from non-factory farm sources and make one's own pizza which also includes fresh veggies from one's own garden.

The author mentions "conditions would apply," but never specified what these were.
